Fred Taylor  -  Appointed McLeod Industries Sales Manager McLeod is proud to announce the appointment of Fred Taylor to his new position. Fred has abundant product knowledge and experience which dates back to the seventies when almost every NHRA Pro Stock competitor was a client of Mcleod Industries. Additionally, Fred was at the forefront of development of the McLeod Hydraulic Throw Out Bearing.

McLeod's own Nate Shelton has just been that he has been elected to the SEMA Hall of Fame.  This is a prestigious honor and there is no one more deserving of this than Nate. Congratulations Nate! .

Technical Department grows again
Lee Kilcoyne, currently head of our Pressure Plate department, has just been promoted to part time Technical Assistant. He will continue building pressure plates in the morning and in the afternoon will be assisting Fred Taylor with taking Technical calls.

Fred Taylor Rejoins Mcleod Industries    
Fred Taylor has returned to McLeod Industries to head the Technical and Customer Service Departments.

Fred started at Mcleod in the summer of 1977 on the assembly line of pressure plates and worked his way through the shipping and rework departments before being promoted to Race Director in 1984. Fred was instrumental in the development of the Hydraulic T/O Bearing, and contributed to the development of the Street Twin, along with George Kohler and Dennis Bress.

In the fall of 1987, Fred left McLeod to run his father's auto repair business. In 1990, Fred closed the family’s business to work as a master technician at a dealership until he was invited to return to Mcleod after the acquisition by B&M Racing.

While working at McLeod in the 70’s and 80’s, Fred also was drag racing, testing many of the products that McLeod offers today. Fred started racing in the Modified Eliminator category in 1970 and retired from drag racing after setting the Pro Stock record in ADRA in 1985, at 7.50 @ 188.95 mph.

B&M acquires McLeod Industries!
Nate Shelton, B&M Racing & Performance Products' chairman, recently announced the acquisition of McLeod Industries. Founded in 1971 by internationally known clutch guru Red Roberts, McLeod manufactures and distributes a full line of clutch assemblies, flywheels, hydraulic throw out bearing kits, adaptive bellhousings, and rail shifters for 5 & 6 speed transmissions. "The joining of these two industry icons, with almost 100 years of racing heritage, will now be the most formidable power delivery group in the performance aftermarket", said Roberts. For longtime racers and dealers of McLeod Products, Red Roberts will remain in place and direct research & development of new products as well as continue to offer valuable racer assistance.
